Frequently Asked Questions

That depends upon your style of travel, the time you have, and the things you are interested in. But we recommend a minimum of 3 days.

No harm in staying a day or two more to go on a food tour. 3-5 days is a good enough time to explore the city and tick off all the boxes.

On the first day, you can explore the old city with its iconic landmarks which are in proximity like the Charminar, Laad Bazaar, and Mecca Masjid and take a boat ride in Hussain Sagar Lake and see the statue of Gautam Buddha in the middle of the lake.

The next day you can go on a heritage tour of the Golconda Fort, the Qutb Shahi Tombs, the Salar Jung Museum and the Falaknuma Palace.

On the last day, you can visit the Chowmahalla Palace, Birla Mandi and then sign it off by exploring some nightlife at Banjara and Jubilee Hills.

Hyderabad is a land steeped in history and culture. Tremendous patrons of arts, music, and creative endeavors, the Nizams (rulers) of Hyderabad have left behind a legacy of excellence as evident from the palaces, forts and other architectural monuments.

An amalgam of Islamic and Hindu influences makes the region a cosmopolitan center, renowned for its pluralism, coexistence, and excellence in poetry, literature and fine arts.

A fusion of Mughal, Turko-Afghan, and Telugu influence, the Hyderabadi cuisine, especially its iconic Biryani, is food par excellence and draws foodies from all over India.

There is so much to feast on in Hyderabad: Biryani, Haleem, Kebab, Qurbani ka Meetha, Irani Chai, Double ka Meetha and Mirchi ka Salan.

As is the case in much of southern India, the best time to visit is in winter (October-March) when the temperature ranges from a pleasant 56 °F to 84° F. The days are bright and sunny and the rains tend to stay away.

Summer (April- July) on the other hand can be a little challenging with the mercury rising to 104° F. The monsoon strikes in July-September and the heavens gush a lot of rain.
