Your tour will begin in Cochin. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by representatives of Resplendent Travel at the airport and transported to your accommodation.

Cochin, the ancient spice trade port is a history hub of maritime trade and history.
You’ll go on a sightseeing tour of the key landmarks of Cochin like Mattancherry Palace, Santa Cruz Cathedral, Marine Drive, and Kerala Folklore Museum.

Alleppey, Kerala | Houseboat Cruise Experience
The next day, you will go on a houseboat tour of the backwaters of Alleppey in a traditional Keralan houseboat equipped with all the amenities you get from a reasonable hotel.
Your houseboat will wade through a world of sleepy fishing villages, fluttering palm trees, lush green landscapes, and chirping birds.
An onboard chef will serve you delicious Keralan cuisine sourced from local organic sources.

The tea plantation town on the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border, Thekkady in the Idukki region of Kerala will be your next stop. (3.5 hours)
It is famous for its evergreen meadows, roll green tea hills, the famous Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Periyar Tiger Reserve.
Activities on days 5 & 6: spice plantation tour in Thekkady, boat safari in the Periyar Lake, rides on elephants, and a visit to the Periyar Tiger Reserve (optional).

Activities in Munnar on days 7 and 8: tea plantation tour, visits to the Pothamedu View Point and the Mattupetty Dam, and wildlife safaris at Eravikulam National Park (optional).

The Karnataka leg of your tour will begin in Madurai, the oldest and holiest city in South India (3.5 hours).
It is the site of the Meenakshi Amman Temple, one of the most important sites of pilgrimage in the Hindu tradition—visited every year by millions of devotees and tourists.
Activities/visits on 9 & 10: Meenakshi Amman Temple, St. Mary’s Cathedral, Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, Shri Koodal Azhagar Temple, Gandhi Memorial Musem and temple tour of other ancient holy sites.

Also known as Thanjavur, the ancient town of Tanjore (3 hours drive) will be your next stop.
Tanjore is where most of the Great Living Chola Temples (UNESCO World Heritage Monuments) are located. The most important among them are the Brihadeeswara Temples and the Kamakshi Amman Temple.
You will spend days 11 and 12 exploring these amazing ancient sites.
