Arrival in Mumbai | Transfer to Hotel
On arrival at the International Airport in Mumbai, you will be greeted by the staff of LIT and transported to your hotel.
Day
Sightseeing Mumbai | India’s Maximum City
After breakfast the next morning, you will begin your city tour of Mumbai and cover all that there is to see in this great city on day 2 and day 3.
These include a glimpse at Bollywood in action at the Film City, a visit to key attractions (like Gateway of India, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus), a private curated shopping experience, a tour of the Dharavi Slum Tour, a run-down of Mumbai’s Art-Deco colonial buildings, and a short trip to the historic Irani cafes of Mumbai.
Other optional attractions that can be arranged on request: a street food tour, a private boat-ride tour to the Elephanta Caves off the coast of Mumbai (known for their ancient Hindu and Buddhist rock-art carvings and sculptures.

Flight to Cochin
On day 4, you’ll fly to Cochin (2 hr flight), the historical Malabar coastal city famous for its history as a hub of colonial spice wars and trade, old Jew Town, and for its Chinese Fishing Nets.

Exploring Cochin | Dutch History
You will spend the day leisurely exploring this marvelous coastal town with stopovers at key attractions like Santa Cruz Cathedral, Mattancherry Palace, Kerala Folklore Museum, Marine Drive Boulevard, and the Chinese Fishing huts.

Drive to Thattekad | Avian Haven
On the morning of day 6, you will drive to Thattekad which is famous for its Bird Sanctuary (63 km/ 39 miles/ 2 hr drive).
Described as “the richest bird habitat on peninsular India” Thattekad’s dense deciduous low-land forest located along the Periyar River 271 species of birds, which include the Indian Roller, Cuckoo, Grey Drongo, Malabar Trogon, Oriental Darker and Yellow-browed Bulbuls.

Drive to Munnar | “Kashmir of South India”
Your next hill station stopover in the Ghats will be the “Kashmir of South India” Munnar which lies 67 km (41 miles/ 2 hr drive).
It is famed for its virgin forest, nature trails, cascading waterfalls, rolling tea hills, and lush greenery.

Munnar | Tea Trek And Hill Station Experience
The next morning you will embark on your tea garden trek experience in Munnar and spend days 8 and 9 doing the must-do things.
These include visits to Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, and Tata Tea Museum, cycling at Blossom Park, hiking up to Echo Point, riding an elephant, and many other adventurous activities.

Drive Back to Thekaddy
On day 10, you will drive back to Thekaddy (4 hr drive).

On this day, you will enjoy a bamboo rafting experience in the forest of Periyar Tiger Reserve.

Drive to Kumarakom
The backwaters beckon!
Early in the morning, you will drive to the backwaters of Kumarakom (122 km/75 miles/ 3.5 hours drive)

Kumarakom Houseboat | Overnight cruising the Backwaters
No visit to Kerala would be complete without a houseboat tour in the backwaters of Kumarakom as you wade through a sleepy dream-like world of fluttering palm trees, green foliage, exotic wildlife, chirping birds, floating lilies, and quaint fishing villages.
You will not only enjoy an overnight houseboat experience with an expert chef onboard serving your Keralan delicacies but also get to witness gorgeous sunrise and sunset.
