The Taj Mahal, the ancient temples and the Royal Bengal Tiger are three of the greatest attractions that draw millions of tourists to India.
Our “Taj, Temples & Tigers” is a 12-day tour that combines all these three elements of India to give you a well-rounded taste of the authentic Indian experience.
The tour plan adventure safaris in the national parks of Madhya Pradesh (Panna and Bandhavgarh), a stopover at the ancient town of Khajuraho (famed for its ornately carved erotic temples), a spiritual sojourn in the holy city of Varanasi and heritage trails in Old Delhi.
The tour reaches its finale in the home of the Taj Mahal, the historical Mughal city Agra, steeped in history and architecture.

Delhi | Arrival and Start of Tour
The Tour will begin in the capital. Upon arrival at the international airport, our driver will receive you warmly, and transport you to your accommodation.

Delhi | Grandeur of Ancient India
Once you’ve rested well overnight, embark on a Delhi Tour visiting the legendary landmarks of the city. Delhi oozes historical charm and grandeur and is a paradise for those who appreciate history, culture, and architecture.
You’ll visit key attractions of the city like the Red Fort the 800-year-old Qutab Minar Humayun’s Tomb, Jama Masjid, a Rickshaw ride in the Old Delhi, India Gate, driving through Rajpath overlooking the Parliament and President’s House.

Varanasi | The Spiritual Heart of India
From Delhi, you’ll fly to the Spiritual Capital of India in Utter Pradesh, Varanasi (1 hour 40 minutes flight).
Also known as Kashi or Benaras, Varanasi is the oldest continuously-inhabited city in India that sacred to not just the Hindu faith but also to the Buddhist Faith due to the Sarnath town nearby, where Lord Buddha attained Nirvana.

Varanasi | Ganga Aarti and Heritage Trails
Bespoke guided tour of the ancient city which starts with a private sunrise boat ride on the river Ganges also including visits to the ancient Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the ancient Ghat (Embankments of the River) and walking through the by-lanes of the old city dotted with ancient buildings and Havelis (mansions).
At sunset witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony on the river bank,
A homage to the holy Ganga River is paid by priests in an elaborate and popular ceremony that takes place every evening and is a must for every visitor.

Khajuraho | The Mysterious Land of Kama Sutra
From Varanasi, you’ll fly to the mysterious land of the Kama Sutra, Khajuraho, (1-hour flight).
Sprawling over 20 sq km, 25 stunning temples of Hindu and Jain origin embellished with ornate erotic and graphic images of gods and goddesses make up one of ancient India’s greatest mysteries. These temples date back to the Chandela dynasty in the 10th century AD.
In the evening you will witness a captivating sound and light show in the famous Western Group of Temples.

Panna | The Ultimate Tiger Safari
On the 6th day, you will drive to Panna National Park from Khajuraho (48 km/29 miles/1.5-hour drive) to catch the afternoon safari.
Located in the Vindhya Hills of Madhya Pradesh, Panna is a jewel in the state’s crown, offering a world-class wildlife safari experience in a landscape characterized by flat plains, rock canyons, and the magnificent Raneh Water Falls.
The next day, (Day 7), you’ll take two jeep safaris to the wildlife reserve (morning and afternoon).

Bandhavgarh | Tigers Safaris and Wildlife Adventure
On day 8, you will drive to your next great wildlife safari destination, Bandhavgarh National Park (180km/111 miles/3 hours drive)—the former hunting ground of the Maharaja of Rewa, and the home of the mythical white tiger. It has the highest density of tigers of any national park in India.
On day 9, you take two private Jeep safaris to the Tiger Reserve (Morning and Afternoon).

Katni to Agra | A Train Adventure
On the 10th day, you will travel from Bandhavgarh to the city of Katni (64km/39 miles/2.5 hours away), from where you board and overnight train to Agra. The journey takes about 10 hours (600 km/372 miles).
You will enjoy the landscape of Central India, the heart of the country.

Agra | The Taj Mahal and Other Mughal Marvels
Disembark the train in the morning and check in to the hotel, in the afternoon begin your tour of Agra with the ultimate Indian marvel, the Taj Mahal with a guided tour visiting Mughal Marvels like the Agra Fort, Itmad-ud-daulah (Baby Taj) and end the day at Mehtab Bagh to see a sunset view of the Taj Mahal from the other side of river Yamuna.

Agra | A Majestic Sunrise & Drive Back to Delhi
This morning, you’ll witness the Taj Mahal at sunrise before you drive to New Delhi. The drive back to Delhi is cozy and takes 3.5 hours (240 km/150 miles).
