Our “Birdwatching Tour” is designed with the ultimate bird lovers in mind.
This birding tour takes you on a memorable trip to two of north India’s greatest birding destinations—the Bharatpur National Park (also known as Keoladeo Bird Sanctuary) in Rajasthan and Sultanpur National Park (near Delhi).
Home to 375 exotic species of birds, Bharatpur used to be the royal hunting ground of the Maharaja of Jaipur. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its amazing birdlife, this world-famous avifauna sanctuary is a birdwatcher’s paradise with such amazing birds as the Eurasian Spoonbill, Great Egret, Knob-billed Duck, Saurus Crane, storks, herons, cormorants, tufted duck, cotton teal, and Indian shag.
Sultanpur National Park in Haryana sprawls over 142 hectares with the serene Sultanpur lake nestled in the middle of it. Located a short 1.5-hour drive from Delhi, this amazing destination is home to Eurasian Wigeon, Yellow Wattled Lapwing, Indian Grey Hornbill, Great Egret, and Pied Buschat.

Arrival in Delhi | Transfer to Hotel
Your tour will begin in the capital Delhi. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by LIT representative and transported to your hotel.

Sultanpur | Birding Expedition
The next day you embark on a daytrip from Delhi to Sultanpur National Park in Gurugam, Haryana (40 km/ 24 miles/ 1 hr 40 min drive). After the birding adventure, you’ll return back to your hotel in Delhi.

Bharatpur | Avian Mystery
On the third morning, you’ll travel to Bharatpur (220 km/ 136 miles/ 4 hr 20 min) with a stopover at Fatehpur Sikri (30 mins drive from Bharatpur).
Previously the capital of the Mughal Empire, the UNESCO World Heritage Site is a marvel of Mughal architecture with landmarks like the Jama Masjid, Panch Mahal, Panch Mahal (Palace), and Jodha Bai’s Palace.

Bharatpur | Morning and Afternoon Avian Adventures
The next morning you will begin your adventure in Bharatpur with morning and afternoon visits to the bird—to catch the “early birds” and the late returning home birds at sunset.
