Sightseeing in Cochin | Spice Trail and Maritime History
On day 2, after breakfast, you’ll embark on a sightseeing day trip in Cochin (Kochi), a maritime port that was for centuries one of the primary hubs of the so-called Spice trade. A port that has seen colonial intrigue, conquest, and war.
Landmarks covered during the experience: Santa Cruz Cathedral, Mattancherry Palace, Marine Drive Boulevard, the Chinese Fishing Nets, and the beach.

Drive Munnar | Kashmir of South India
The next morning after breakfast, you’ll set out for what is arguably South India’s favorite hill station escape—Munnar, nicknamed the Kashmir of South India due to its misty mountains, beautiful waterfalls and streams, rolling tea hills, and perfect all-year-round weather (drive time 4 Hrs/ 126 km/ 78miles).

You will spend the day leisurely exploring this marvelous coastal town with stopovers at key attractions like Santa Cruz Cathedral, Mattancherry Palace, Kerala Folklore Museum, Marine Drive Boulevard, and the Chinese Fishing huts.

Your next stopover in the Ghats is Thekaddy which is known for its “spice villages.” (2 hr 40 minutes/ 95 km/ 59 miles).

Aside from its Spice villages, and tea/coffee plantation, wildlife at the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is a major tourist attraction in Thekaddy. You will spend day 6 in the midst of nature, exploring the dense tropical forest and amazing wildlife of the region.

Drive to Alleppey | Overnight Houseboat Tour
No itinerary to Kerala can leave out the backwaters—an amazing world of pristine nature, lush greenery, floating lakes, intricate canals, and water channels, swaying coconut trees, chirping birds, idyllic villages, and rustic beauty.
Drive to Alleppey (drive time 3.5 Hrs/ 137 km/85 km), you will spend the night aboard a traditional houseboat equipped with modern amenities, and an onboard chef conjuring for you amazing Keralan delights.
Picture a dream-like sunset and sunrise in the backwaters. As though it came out from a Lord of the Rings movie.
