Delhi | Arrival and Start of Tour
The Tour will begin in the capital Delhi, where upon arrival at the international airport, LIT representatives will receive you warmly, and transport you to your hotel.

Delhi | Unearthing Ancient Mughal Mystery
Discover the splendor of Mughal Delhi in a day 2 filled with historical mystery and intrigue.
After breakfast, you will visit the must-see World Heritage historical landmarks of Delhi. These include Red Fort, Qutab Minar Humayun’s Tomb, and Jama Masjid (Grand Mosque of Delhi).
After a tour of the Mughal monuments, you’ll enjoy a Rickshaw ride through the markets of Old Delhi and visit the iconic India Gate. To give you a sense of the modern as well as the historical, you will sign off the day with a drive through Rajpath overlooking the Parliament and President’s House.

Jaipur | Drive & Sightseeing
The second lap of your epic tour will be the “Pink City” Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, and a must-visit destination in the Golden Triangle.
You’ll drive to Jaipur from Delhi ( drive time 5 hours/ 250 KMS or 155 miles). Spend the rest of the day exploring the old city center.

Jaipur | Pink City Escapades
A full day of heritage and cultural sightseeing in the “Paris of India.”
Attractions covered:
–The City Palace: Residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur/ also houses a museum).
– Hawa Mahal: Palace of the Winds/ iconic pink-colored building famous for its 953 jharoka/glass windows modeled after a honeycomb).
– Jantar Mantar Astronomical Observatory (housing the world’s largest sundial stone).
– Amber Fort: Previous residence-fort of the Maharaja (located on a mound just outside of Jaipur).
– Nahargah Fort: Built 1734 AD.
– Albert Hall Museum: 1887 AD museum showcasing Rajasthan arts, arms, and artifacts.

Agra | Drive and Sightseeing
After breakfast, you’ll set out for Agra in Utter Pradesh (drive time 4 hours/ 240 km or 145 miles). Spend the rest of the day sightseeing.

Agra | Sunrise at the Taj Mahal
You’ll wake up early to catch one of our planet’s most magical experiences: a sunset at the Taj Mahal. As the rising sun lights up the Taj Mahal, the Wonder of the World shimmers like a white pearl. The Taj Mahal will be all yours to behold before thousands of tourists turn up.
Other attractions you’ll visit: Agra Fort (former fort-residence of Mughal Emperor), Itimad-ud-Daula (Baby Taj), Mehtab Bagh (garden), Tomb of Akbar, Jama Masjid and the old Bazar of Agra.

Cochin | Flight to Cochin
You’ll drive to New Delhi airport and fly to fly to Cochin in Kerala (flight time 3 hours).

Cochin | Maritime History and Spice Wars
Also known as Kochi, the legendary port city of Cochin in Kerala is famous for its history as an important hub of the medieval maritime trade, and the resultant colonial wars, to which it was an important theatre.
You’ll discover this history with visits to the Mattancherry Palace (home of Maharajas of Cochin), Santa Cruz Cathedral, Paradesi Synagogue, old marketplace, and Marine Drive.

Keralan Backwaters | A Houseboat Waltz
You’ll travel to the backwaters of Alleppey (drive time 1 hour 15 min/ 55 km or 35 miles), and spend your day and overnight on a traditional houseboat in the backwaters as it gently floats through the enchanting world of dream-like sceneries, sleepy fishing villages, palm-lined canals and lakes.

Munnar | Drive to the Western Ghats
After the houseboat tour, you’ll drive to South India’s most favorite hill station Munnar, nestled in the Western Ghats at a height of 1,530 meters/ 5,000 ft above sea level.

Nicknamed the “Kashmir of South India” due to its lush green valleys, rolling tea hills, misty mountains, cascading waterfalls, and perfect weather, Munnar is an absolute visual delight.
You’ll enjoy a tour of the Tea Estates and Spice tours of the region.

In the morning, you’ll drive to your next hill station destination Thekaddy: drive time 2 hours 30 min/ 90 km/ 55 miles.
Thekaddy is famous not just for its spice villages, tea plantations, and lovely lush mountains, but also for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

A wildlife safari experience awaits you at the Periyar National Park on day 13.
Possible sightings: Asiatic (Indian) Elephants (estimated 50), Nilgai (Indian Antelopes), Langurs, Sloth Bears, Leopards, Porcupines, Kingfishers, Barking Deer, and Great Indian Hornbills.

After breakfast, drive to Varkala: drive time 4 hours 15 min/ 170 km/ 105 miles.
Varkala is famous not just for its stunning beaches but also for its 2000-year-old Janardana Swami Temple (Benaras of the South).
You’ll visit the temple and enjoy the rest of your day at the temple.
