Your tour begins in Delhi, where on arrival, you’ll be greeted by representatives of Resplendent Travel and transported to your accommodation.

Rishikesh | “Yoga Capital of the World”
The next day you will drive to the Yoga Capital of the World, Rishikesh (4.5 hours), and spend two days savoring the delights of one of the popular destinations in Uttarakhand.
Rishikesh is a lot of things: a massive global Yoga and meditation destination with plenty of Ashrams and Yoga schools, a white-water rafting heaven with excellent Grade III and IV rapids in the Ganga River, a holy pilgrimage site in the Hindu faith and the host for the daily sunset Ganga Aarti (homage to Ganga) ceremony (that attracts thousands).

Lansdowne | A Hamlet in Garhwal
The small hamlet in the Garhwal Himalayan Mountains called Kalu Danda was transformed into a cantonment by the British and used as a training center for recruits. Its breathtaking beauty is what inspired this decision.

Corbett | On the Trail of the Royal Bengal Tiger
India’s oldest and one of its most popular national parks, the Jim Corbett National Park, home of the Royal Bengal Tiger (255 as per last count) will be your next Uttarakhand destination (1.5 hours drive).
You’ll go on private wildlife safaris in this dense deciduous forest of Sal, Peepal, Haldu, and Peepal trees that teems with 50 mammals, 25 reptiles, 580 birds, and 110 tree species.

Kausani | Panoramic Views of the Himalayas
Your next stop Kausani (4.5 hours drive) is famous for scenic beauty. It was nicknamed the “Switzerland of India” by Mahatma Gandhi.

The remote region of Binsar snuggled away in the Kumaon mountains is famous for its Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is home to 200 species of birds, and fantastic mammals like leopards, Himalayan Goral, Chital, musk deer, Sumatran Serow, and Red Fox.

Nainital | “Lake District of India”
Your last destination is the “Lake District of India”, Nainital, also known as the “Land of Mountain Lakes.”
The former summer capital of the United Provinces, Nainital is one of India’s favorite hill stations.
Activities: boat rides in Nainital Lake, houseboat stay (optional), rides in the Nainital Snow Cable Car, evening walks on the Mall Road (main promenade in Nainital), visit to Nanda Devi Temple, and endless hiking and nature trails.
